Field Notes

Field Notes is an ongoing series of photographs and digital drawings made while traveling. Working lightly—often with only a camera and an iPad—I record moments of place, weather, light, and movement encountered along the road.

These works function like a visual journal: quick observations, fragments of landscape, traces of campsites, orchards, lakes, and roadside discoveries. Some remain as finished pieces, while others later become source material for studio paintings.

Together they form a record of wandering and wondering—small, attentive acts of looking that document both the journey and the evolving language of the studio.
