This drawing began as a quiet study of tulips — loose, upright, almost hovering in space. I was interested in how little information is actually needed to suggest presence. A few lines hold the vase. The stems rise and wander. The blossoms are soft bursts of orange and rust, suspended in light.
Created on my iPad and printed by me in the studio, this piece is produced on heavyweight Cold Press paper. The subtle texture of the surface gives the image a tactile quality that echoes watercolor and drawing traditions, while retaining the depth and clarity of archival pigment printing.
