Acrylic on canvas, 18×24”
This painting moves between structure and collapse. Linear, almost figurative gestures rise and intersect against a soft, shifting ground of gray and violet light. Forms suggest stems, vessels, or fleeting presences, yet they never fully resolve. Instead, they hover, suspended between drawing and dissolution.
Small bursts of saturated color, the red bar, the orange drips, the yellow marks, act as moments of insistence within an otherwise atmospheric field. They interrupt the quiet, creating a rhythm of tension and release. As with much of my recent work, I am less interested in describing a specific object than in allowing paint itself to think, to build, erase, and rediscover its own structure.
