Pressure Lines: Lake Superior (The Hidden Horizon) treats the landscape less as a view than as a field of shifting forces. The horizon is present but buried—submerged beneath veils of green, yellow, and blue and interrupted by insistent linear structures that suggest trees, vegetation, water, and perhaps architecture. Bursts of red push through the quieter atmospheric color, creating moments of heat and resistance. Lake Superior is less depicted than remembered: a place reconstructed through fragments, pressure, and accumulated acts of seeing.
